Evoluzn’s FXPR2 pocket WiFis were designed to accelerate the migration of data device volumes from 3G to 4G LTE and focus on reliability and affordability in addition to supporting multiple frequency bands. They also support fall back from 4G LTE to 3G HSPA+ and 2G to prevent user experience issues related to network coverage. As an all USA design, Evoluzn FXPR2 employs Marvell USA’s PXA 1802 chipset that can support up to 150 mbps download and 50 mbps upload depending on the network’s coverage and other conditions.

Evoluzn’s FXPR2 comes in two variants, the FXPR2L supporting LCD display and the FXPR2 having LED display. We were told that the variants are to support further cost reduction of the devices, while both the models have the same specifications in terms of speed, frequencies supported, battery, number of users and etc. SMART Communications has launched FXPR2 and FXPR2L recently and you will see more and more of these devices in the market in the near future, as they not only are highly reliable and performing, but also are affordable.

1. Better throughput
All things being equal in different devices addressing nomadic data access requirements of users, there is a clear distinctions in FX PR2 pocket WiFis. Their average throughput is higher than their peers and this apparently due to the optimized radio designs.

2. Longer Battery life
The other distinction and mostly desired by all users, battery life; is also longer on FX PR2 pocket WiFis. These devices are observed to last at least 2 to 3 hour longer than their competitive products in this range. Seems Evoluzn’s design team not only employed rather a larger battery, but also have optimized the leakage currents so that the device’s operational life as well as charge retention lives are longer. This device employs a 2050mAH battery unlike the 1500mAH batteries mostly used in the devices addressing this segment.

3. Over the air memory bank
Last but not least; this device also supports a unique “over the air memory bank” feature. Unlike other devices in this segment which support SD / TFT cards for file storage and require connecting the device to your mobile or laptop via USB cable; Evoluzn’s FX PR2 can allow users to access the SD cards both for reading or writing via WiFi. Cool right? Not just that, this device also allows users to categorize the files on SD card as Private or Public files. So, you are covered when you allow your friends and family to access high speed broadband services via your FX PR2. Others can only see what you categorize as Public Files. With user’s ability to use up to 32GB of SD cards, you can stop worrying about the available memory on your mobiles and tablets PCs.

4. Accelerated warranty support for users
One more unique facility Evoluzn Inc. offers, which we have not experienced in-hand yet is accelerated warranty support for users. Evoluzn products are supported via MemoXpress Service Centers located in various locations. If there is no service center in your area, just call MemoXpress service centers nearest you. They might also pick the faulty units by courier pick-ups! Imagine not having to wait for working weeks as with the case in general here in Philippines. Of course, when we asked Evoluzn’s representatives, they said, in the unlikely event of manufacturing defects, Evoluzn does support accelerated repair and return process or even replacements to ensure that users can continue to enjoy the high speed broadband services without much of interruptions.

In Summary, sleek and trendy industrial design with longer battery life compared to others and with unique and accelerated post-sales support! Of course, works on most of networks in the region with its multi band support, but you need Smartbro to unlock the device.

Remember Evoluzn launched two 3G tablet PCs back in 2013 which were the best value for money at that time? Their slogans then were “Experience the Difference” and “High Tech Made Affordable”. While Evoluzn might have their own reasons for exiting the retail segment after the launch of those models in 2014, they seem to adhere to the same ideology, with the re-entry into Philippines market with FX PR1 Pocket WiFi launched by SmartBro during 1H-2015 and now the FX PR2 device range, again launched by SmartBro. We understand, SUN Broadband is also launching Evoluzn’s FX PR2 based devices, but only supporting 3G.

With classic and elegant design paired with high performance, reliability and affordability in addition to unique and optimized post-sales support processes; I believe Evoluzn FX PR2 Pocket WiFis will disrupt the current market dynamics and make long awaited 3G to 4G LTE data device migration a reality.
